Creative York is joining a collection of Downtown York businesses and organizations to participate in York Arts Week! During York Arts Week, art events will be occurring all around Downtown York. Check out the York Arts Week Website for the full schedule of events.

Chalk Walk is an exciting event designed to celebrate the creativity of artists and promote the importance of public art. The sidewalks of downtown York become an artist’s canvas and a place for audience to watch works of art being created. Murals will be located in the square in Downtown York (Intersection of Market Street and George Street).
Creative York will be partnering with Yorkfest and York Arts Week to present Chalk Walk on Saturday August 24, 2024 from 9AM to 4PM. The chalk murals will be created on the square in downtown York. Rain date: Sunday, August 25, 2024.
How to Get Involved
Artists: All artists – professional, amateur and emerging, are encouraged to participate. High school and adult categories. Registration is necessary to be eligible for selection.
Volunteers: The success of this innovative effort lies in part with the generosity of its volunteers. Everyone is invited to be a part of this great day. For details on how you can contribute, please contact Mindy at 717-848-3200 or email [email protected].
Creative York’s annual juried exhibition featuring various artwork selected by an outside juror. Participation in the Adult Juried Exhibit is open to all artists 18 years or older. Fine art and Fine craft in all mediums are considered. Entries must be original, completed within the past two years, and not previously shown at Creative York. Work should be of high quality and craftsmanship. Awards totaling $1000 will be presented by the juror. One Best of Show prize of $500 will be given, and up to five Awards of Distinction will be granted by the sole and final decision of the juror.

Awards Ceremony and Reception: Thursday, August 22 from 6-8pm during York Arts Week.
Join us for the Annual Youth Art Exhibition on display at Marketview Arts! A mix of work from artists ages 3-17 will be juried by a local artist. All entrants will receive a certificate. Prizes will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category.
