York Arts Week

Creative York’s Annual Adult Juried Exhibition featuring various artwork selected by an outside juror. Participation in the Adult Juried Exhibition is open to all artists 18 years or older. Fine art and  Fine craft in all mediums are considered. Entries must be original, completed within the past two years, and not previously shown at Creative York. Work should be of high quality and craftsmanship. Awards totaling $1000 will be presented by the juror. One Best of Show prize of $500 will be given, and up to five Awards of Distinction will be granted by the sole and final decision of the juror.

Awards Ceremony and Reception: Thursday, August 22 from 6-8pm during York Arts Week.

Chalk Walk is an exciting event designed to celebrate the creativity of artists and promote the importance of public art. The sidewalks of downtown York become an artist’s canvas and a place for audience to watch works of art being created. Murals will be located in Downtown York on West Market St between Beaver St and Pershing Ave.

Creative York will be partnering with York Arts Week to present Chalk Walk on Saturday August 24, 2024 from 9AM to 4PM. Rain date: Sunday, August 25, 2024.

We’re excited to announce our first Mini Makers Market during York Arts Week!

Mini Makers ages 8-18 are invited to join us at Creative York to sell artwork and creations during YorkFest! All art/craft types are accepted for sale.

Join us for the Annual Youth Art Exhibition on display at Marketview Arts! A mix of work from artists ages 3-17 will be juried by a local artist. All entrants will receive a certificate. Prizes will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category.

Awards Ceremony: Saturday, August 24 from 2-3pm at Marketview Arts

Join us for a community poetry reading in the gallery at Creative York from 3-5pm on August 24th! Pop in and sign up to read, or take a seat and listen to local writers sharing their stories. All are welcome!
