Emerging Visions is a showcase of top undergraduate artists from our area. This juried exhibit is open to all current undergraduate school students to showcase a small body of work. $300 in cash awards will be given to exemplary artists at the Juror’s discretion for Best of Show and two Awards of Distinction.
An opening reception will be held at Creative York on January 11, from 1-3pm.

Art with Heart

Our annual silent art auction where art enthusiasts are invited to bid on a variety of artwork created by local, regional, and national artists. Proceeds from Art with Heart will directly benefit disadvantaged youth and provide scholarships for all ages.
Preview Art with Heart on February 7th during First Friday in Downtown York from 5-9pm.
Join us for Prosecco & Cupcakes on February 8 from 1-3PM and enjoy a Sneak Peak of the artwork included in this year’s Art with Heart. Purchase tickets to privately tour the Art with Heart exhibit, while enjoying a glass of Prosecco (for guests 21+) and cupcakes. Tickets are $25.
Following the silent art auction, any artwork not sold will remain on display in the Kerlin Gallery and can be purchased at its original value until Saturday, February 27.
Jeannine Dabb: Building Expression Through Layers of Thought

This exhibition will look at Jeannine’s evolution in her journey as a fine artist. This exhibition is her MFA thesis show from Wilson College. Special performances to be announced.

Curatorial Exhibit: Unfolding Stories

Unfolding Stories curated by Aubrey Maurer spotlights the vibrant talents of young women artists in Pennsylvania. Featuring the work of four female artists: Callie Morton, Emily Reifsnyder, Aubrey Maurer, and Danielle Lillich. By celebrating diverse artistic expressions, particularly those reflecting the experiences of young women, this exhibit aims to enrich the cultural landscape of our state and inspire future generations of artists.
An opening reception will be held at Creative York on Thursday, April 3 from 6 to 8pm.
Creative York Members Exhibition
May 15-June 7, 2025
Creative York invites artists to submit imaginative, traditional, and experimental works in any medium made between March 2023 and March 2025. Participation in the Members’ Exhibition is not juried. Any adult with a current membership valid through the end of the exhibition may enter one artwork.
An opening reception will be held at Creative York on Thursday, May 15 from 6 to 8pm.
Chuck Schmidt: American and Roman Landscapes
June 12-July 26, 2025
Philadelphia artist Charles Schmidt is known for his technical mastery and exquisitely rendered still life and figurative drawings and paintings. His work has long been inspired by the Italian Renaissance primarily the discovery of new artistic techniques to create perspective or the illusion of 3-dimensional space. Schmidt is Professor Emeritus of Painting and Drawing at Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia. His education includes a B.F.A. in painting from Carnegie-Mellon in 1960 and an M.F.A. in painting from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in 1967. After completing his undergraduate study, he joined President Kennedy’s social staff at the White House as calligrapher and artist.

Adult Juried Exhibition
July 31-August 30, 2025
Creative York’s annual juried show. Participation is open to all artists 18 years or older. Fine art and fine craft in all mediums are acceptable. Entries must be original, completed within the past two years, and not previously shown at Creative York. Work should be of high quality and craftsmanship. Cash Awards totaling $1000 will be given to exemplary artists presented by the juror. One Best of Show prize of $500 and up to five Awards of Distinction will be granted.
An opening reception will be held at Creative York on Thursday, August 21 from 6 to 8pm.
Brenda Wintermyer
September 4-27, 2025
Brenda Wintermyer’s vibrant, high-energy art has become popular in the downtown York art scene, making her art very recognizable. Using the skillfulness of an illustrator’s hand her linear work reflects the styles of Lautrec or Matisse. She moves, drips, pushes and manipulates her medium with the confidence of a lifetime painter. Brenda has a studio located above the Handsome Cab and has been commissioned by restaurant owners, international corporations and private collectors.

Rob Evans: 45 year Retrospective (Part II- Susquehanna Valley Views)
October 2-November 22, 2025
Rob Evans is an artist and independent curator who lives and works near Wrightsville, PA. He received a BFA from Syracuse University in 1981 and has been awarded numerous grants including two fellowships from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and a prestigious fellowship from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
Evans’ work can be found in more than 30 prominent public collections across the nation including the Metropolitan Museum of Art; National Gallery of Art; Corcoran Museum of Art; Library of Congress; San Francisco Art Museums; Baltimore Museum of Art; and the Portland (OR) Art Museum among others.
An opening reception will be held at Creative York on Thursday, October 2 from 6 to 8pm.
Small Works: 12″ & Under
November 29-December 27, 2025
This annual exhibit features over 100 pieces of art created by local and regional artists. All pieces are for sale for under $500. Promoting art as gift giving during the holiday season. Open to ages 16 years or older.
