First held in 1997, Art in Residence is Creative York’s longest-running and most celebrated annual fundraiser. This year, Creative York is proud to honor Rob Evans as collectors, artists, and art enthusiasts gather for an evening celebrating exceptional art and the people and stories behind it.

Explore remarkable works from private collections alongside this year’s theme, Studies & Sketches, offering a rare glimpse into the ideas and process behind the finished work. Throughout the evening, invited artists will create original pieces during an exciting 20-minute live painting showcase, while guests enjoy an elevated menu, drinks, auctions, raffles, and opportunities to collect original art.

This Year’s Theme | Studies & Sketches

Every finished work begins with an idea.

Studies & Sketches explores the early stages of artistic creation, celebrating the sketches, studies, experiments, and creative decisions that shape a finished piece. Guests will experience not only completed artwork, but also the inspiration and process behind it.
