The Matriarchy Project is a creative workshop series for women to explore the intersection of motherhood and womanhood through poetry, abstract painting, sculpture, and mixed media.  Designed for non-artists and led by professional female artists, the program helps participants reclaim identity, share truth, and honor the complex stories we carry. This project invites participants to reimagine the concept of motherhood not only as a personal journey but as a collective source of wisdom, creativity, and healing.

Learn the basics of painting an animal portrait in this 6 week course! Students may bring in a photo of their own furry friend, or use a photo provided. Participants will learn how to create a composition, mix and match paint colors, and understand proportions while using acrylic paint. No prior experience required!
