To celebrate the exhibit “Letter Love” in our Art Lab, this class will provide the opportunity to learn from the artist herself! Explore and learn basic techniques of calligraphy by looking at a brief history of calligraphy and learn the skills of holding the pen, making strokes, and writing out words and phrases with your newfound skills. Let’s learn the art of writing beautifully! No prior experience necessary!

The Playwrights of the White Rose will be holding monthly meetings at Creative York for writers to get the chance to sharpen their skills, try out new work, give and receive feedback, and connect with other writers in the community! No experience is necessary, but a sincere desire to develop your own artistic potential and support others in contributing to the artistic landscape of our city is required.
Meetings will be held in the gallery on the third Monday’s of every month. An RSVP is required to attend. Please email [email protected] to confirm your seat.

Each participant will receive 10 blank cards to print and students are welcome to bring extra cards if they would like. No prior printmaking experience necessary!
