How Did Roger Think? Lessons from a Gouache Master
Saturday, June 24th from 9am-3pm, with a 30 minute lunch break
This workshop will expand upon the classroom atmosphere Roger Anliker would have cultivated. Designed by a team of his former students and led by Dale Roberts, this six-hour exploration will be directly born from Roger’s challenges to his former students, as well as his notebooks, which will be on view. The workshop will uniquely utilize direct observation of a still-life akin to one Roger would have set for his students. Participants should be prepared to investigate the qualities of two mediums Roger was proficient in, gouache and metalpoint. This workshop will be held amongst his work in Creative York’s gallery.
