Community Collaborations
At Creative York, we believe that art extends beyond our gallery walls and belongs throughout the community. Through partnerships with local organizations and venues, we host rotating exhibitions in spaces such as Out Door Country Club and West York Borough Gallery. These community galleries allow more artists to showcase their work and make it easier for residents to experience art in accessible, welcoming environments. By expanding our reach through these collaborations, Creative York strengthens its commitment to supporting artists, engaging new audiences, and fostering a vibrant creative culture across the region.

On the Rise: Emerging Artists On Display from April 9, 2026 – July 9, 2026
On Display at West York Borough Offices 1381 West Poplar Street, See the exhibit Monday-Friday 10am-4pm
This exhibition features artwork of emerging artists aged 14+ to display artwork with a theme of transformation, empowerment, and the inner spark that keeps us moving forward. Amateur artists and students who are residents of York County are included in the show.

Barbara Bucher spent much of her professional life working in the field of education- as an elementary and pre-school teacher and as a Development Director before retiring and focusing on one of her other passions… her love of the ocean, the beach, the wildlife that surrounds it and the peacefulness of the outdoors. She turned this love into her small photography business, luvtheseaphotography, in 2019.
In this day of AI and highly digitally altered photography, Barb continues to bring you the world exactly as she sees it…natural, beautiful photos, capturing moments in time that caught her breath- and ones in which she hopes evoke heartfelt emotions for you.
Barb has been published multiple times in a NC Coastal Magazine, has won several Art Show photography awards and most recently has won a spot in the Free Island Press 2027 Calendar Competition, where her shot of the Ocracoke Lighthouse will be one of 12 photos featured in the calendar. Her work is sold primarily at local Art Shows in PA and MD, on Etsy, as well as being carried in The Blue Lagoon, an art store located in the OBX, that features talented artists from all over the United States.

America 250
Presented in partnership with West York Borough, America 250 explores the evolving American experience through the work of regional artists. Reflecting on history, identity, community, and visions for the future, the exhibition celebrates the many perspectives that shape our nation’s story.
Join us for the opening reception on Thursday, July 16, from 5:00–6:30pm, and experience this thought-provoking exhibition on view at the West York Borough Gallery through October 8, 2026.
