About the Juror…
Cheryl Agulnick Hochberg is Chairperson in the Fine Arts Department of Kutztown University. As a Professor at Kutztown University, she regularly teaches drawing courses and a professional practices class. She also serves as the advisor for “Eckhaus”, a student-run gallery on Main Street in Kutztown and is on the Board of FUSE arts infrastructure, Allentown, PA.
Hochberg received her BFA from The Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and her MFA from the University of Wisconsin/Madison.
Cheryl’s work has been exhibited throughout the country. Her recent solo exhibitions include Allentown Art Museum, Montgomery College in Takoma Park, MD, The Banana Factory in Bethlehem, PA and Sweetbriar College in Lynchburg, VA. Her work has been included in group exhibitions, most recently at the Ice Box in Philadelphia, the Kirkland Art Center in Clinton, NY, the Andrews Art Museum in Andrews, NC, the Allentown Art Museum, the Fowler Family Center in Bethlehem, PA, as well as in many university gallery exhibitions.
Yorkfest is a weekend-long premier fine arts and music festival held along the Codorus River (surrounding the Colonial Courthouse) in historic downtown York. Yorkfest features over 80 fine artists from all around the country, free entertainment and hands-on art activities. This year’s festival will take place Friday, August 28 until Sunday, August 30, 2014. Yorkfest is held rain or shine.
