As a York, PA local, Hannah Smith incorporates the landscape she grew up in as well as personal experiences into her work. She has interest in creating both ceramic work and paintings, but also frequently explores additional media. Currently pursuing her BSE for Art Education at Millersville University of Pennsylvania, Hannah plans to work as an art educator while continuing to create and develop her own artistic practices.

Painting from memory, imagination, and photographic references, she often explains work as creating a road map of navigating life. Though her works are frequently identifiable by the subdued palette and moody tones, she occasionally revisits the brighter tones for a landscape.
