Carol Clark Williams is poet laureate emerita of York, Pennsylvania, and founder of the “Poetry Spoken Here” readings for the open air Yorkfest arts festival. She is a winner of the NFSPS 2022 Stevens Chapbook Poetry Contest. Williams teaches poetry workshops for high school students, senior centers, support groups, and residents of institutions.
Carol’s poems have been published in print and online journals including Broadkill Review, Welcome to the Resistance, Fledgling Rag, Grasslimb, Mad Poets Review, Margie, Byline, PPS Prize Poems, and Encore. Sandra Fees (she/her) is a creativity facilitator, poet and minister. Her passion is creating sharing circles to discover our own inner wisdom, connect more deeply with others and expand our creative capacity.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Shippensburg University, a Master of Arts degree from Syracuse University where she studied creative writing, and Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Lancaster Theological Seminary.
Sandra leads small creativity and everyday spiritual practice groups through Soul Matters. She is the content creator for a new Practice Matters curriculum.She also leads small poetry groups, including poetry submission parties and critique groups, and is an active participant in several critique groups. She volunteers as a poetry reader with two journals as well as actively participating in her local poetry community, Berks Bards. Her first full-length poetry collection Wonderwork (BlazeVOX Books) was released in October 2024. Her previous books include two chapbooks, The Temporary Vase of Hands (Finishing Line Press, 2017) and Moving, Being Moved (Five Oaks Press, 2017, out of print). She is a past poet laureate of Berks County, 2016-2018. Her poems have received awards and been published in a variety of journals.
